| Rebels Solve Cougars, 6-4 | The Ole Miss Rebels racked up a win at Tribe Ballpark, bumping off the Washington State Cougars, 6-4. Tristan Townsend, who started for Ole Miss, pitched effectively for his team. The winning pitcher was Townsend, now 1-1. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Eric Fredericks earned the save, his 4th, for the Rebels.
John Hadley aided the Ole Miss cause with a 2-run single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Townsend told the Ole Miss News.
Even with the win, the Rebels have a dismal 4-9 record.
