Getting a good performance from designated hitter Jeremy Gaines, the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels, 7-6. Gaines was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Crimson Tide. The 19th-place Crimson Tide now have a win-loss record of 5-8.
