Gillum Slugs Bruins to 6-3 Win

Jason Gillum left his imprint on the 6-3 UCLA win against the Texas A&M Aggies. Gillum slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. UCLA reliever Greg Andrew got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Lee Caldwell was tagged with the loss. Bob Bradley picked up the save for UCLA, his 3rd of the year.

Gillum had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 slider from Lee Caldwell, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Bruins a 6-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Gillum.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Gillum told the UCLA Gazette.

The Bruins bumped their record to 7-5 with this latest triumph.
