Tigers Lose, 4-2, at Brooks College Grounds

LSU got a terrific performance from catcher Brendan Grimes, but it wasn't enough to beat the Fresno State Bulldogs. Fresno State won the Brooks College Grounds contest, 4-2. Grimes was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Fresno State reliever Lawrence Cartwright got the win, raising his record to 1-0. John Radtke was tagged with the loss. The save was Chris Hancock's, his 3rd.

Mark Cummings, who is tied for 4th in the RDL in runs scored with 15, chipped in for Fresno State with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
