Tigers Lose, 3-1, at Madera College Grounds

Tennessee turned a good effort from starter Sean Stroman into a win over the Clemson Tigers at Madera College Grounds. The final score was 3-1. Seth Watkins picked up the save for Tennessee, his 1st of the year. The Volunteers bumped their record to 7-5 with this latest triumph.

The Volunteers got a big at-bat from right fielder Tom Ziman. For the game, Ziman went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Tennessee a 2-0 lead.

"I had a good game plan," said Stroman. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Álex Negrón said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
