The Bloomington Blazers got a strong performance from pitcher James Thompson, who stymied the Eureka offense en route to a 3-2 win at The Nest. Shichiro Iba converted his 3rd save in 4 tries. The Blazers bumped their record to 36-30 with this latest triumph.

In the top of the third inning, right fielder Mike Burge came through big-time for the Blazers. With Bloomington leading 2-1, he belted a solo home run.

Burge attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
