| Ducks Lose, 4-1, at Sooners Ballpark | Ron Mabie pitched a gem to lead Texas A&M to a 4-1 victory over the Oregon Ducks. Alex Serrano earned the save, his 1st. Even with the win, the Aggies have a dismal 3-8 record.
The Aggies got a big at-bat from designated hitter Kurt Howes. For the game, Howes went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Texas A&M a 2-0 lead.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Texas A&M manager Richie Robertson. "Our pregame was pretty good."
