| Multi-HR Game for Jordan in 9-5 Win | The Long Beach State 49'ers defeated the Tulane Green Wave, 9-5, at Berthoud College Grounds today. Leading the charge for Long Beach State was right fielder Greg Jordan. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. John Banks picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Ricky Jackson was tagged with the loss. Picking up the save was Alan Paradiso, his 1st.
The 49'ers got a big at-bat from second baseman Jason Harris. For the game, Harris was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 11th hit of the season gave Long Beach State a 6-4 lead.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Harris.
Long Beach State goes to 6-3 with the win.
