| Powell Helps Owls Run Win Streak to 4 | Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Sam Powell, the Rice Owls defeated the Tulane Green Wave, 11-5. Powell was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Owls. Bobby Brabaw was the winner. Over 5 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 9 strikeouts. Rice, now 5-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.
