| Bulldogs Come Back Late to Top Cougars | Fresno State beat Washington State at Brooks College Grounds, escaping with a 9-8 win. The win in large part was due to second baseman Jeremy Jerry, who earned player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Fresno State, now 6-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Fresno State trailing 8-7, Frank Reynoso hit a fastball from Chris Green to right-center for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Bulldogs had a walk-off win.
"We take it day by day here," said Reynoso, "and today was a good one for us."
