Sycamores Top Crimson Tide Behind Rymer, 3-0

Indiana State got a first-rate effort from pitcher Johnny Rymer, who frustrated Alabama hitters en route to a 3-0 Sycamores triumph at Pit Vipers Ballpark. Michael Carter recorded the save for Indiana State, his 1st of the season. The Sycamores, now 5-2, have hit the ground running this season.

Rymer, who dominated for Indiana State, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 9. Alabama batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Rymer said.
