| Tigers Win at Washington State, 7-3 | LSU beat Washington State on the strength of starter Ernie Cook's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 7-3 win. Bobby Bruce recorded the save for LSU, his 4th of the season. With the win, LSU pushes its record to 4-3.
Chris Castro aided the LSU cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 4 with a double and was hit by a pitch.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said LSU manager Vicente Otero.
