| Bears Lose, 7-4, at Crowley College Grounds | Baylor left fielder Tyler Webb had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Webb went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, even as Mississippi State beat the Bears, 7-4. Webb was named the player of the game despite the loss. Travis Reeves recorded the save for Mississippi State, his 2nd of the season. With the win, Mississippi State pushes its record to 3-4.
Gabe Aronson drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances for Mississippi State. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Eric Young. It was his 4th walk of the season.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Mississippi State manager Carlton Price.
