Davidson goes 3-for-5, Salukis Move to 4-2

The South Illinois Salukis downed the Kansas Jayhawks, 19-3, at Field of the Shield. Jonathan Davidson led the way, going 3-for-5 for South Illinois. South Illinois goes to 4-2 with the win.

Alex McNichols, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Salukis organization, aided the South Illinois cause with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 4 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Davidson told the South Illinois Citizen.
