| Horned Frogs Lose, 3-1, at Crunch Ballpark | Oregon pitcher Jack Twyman did his part in helping his team beat the TCU Horned Frogs, 3-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Mitchell McDuffie closed the door for Oregon, picking up his 3rd save of the year. Oregon is off to a hot start at 4-2.
The Ducks got a big at-bat from designated hitter Kevin Riffe. For the game, Riffe was 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Oregon a 2-1 lead.
"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped TCU manager Scott Knight. "Obviously."
