| Streaking Cowboys Win Another One | Mark Shepherd left his imprint on the 7-3 Oklahoma State win against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Shepherd went 2-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. The winner was Lineu Xarro in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Mike Pollard took the loss. The Cowboys, now 6-0, have stormed out of the gates.
Shepherd had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 fastball from Mike Pollard, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Cowboys a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Shepherd.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Shepherd.
