| Buckeyes Need Extra Frames to Get Past Tigers | The Ohio State Buckeyes topped the Missouri Tigers, 8-5, with left fielder Matt Brinkworth playing a big role. Brinkworth went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Buckeyes in the win. The winner was Chris Hicks in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Matt Yoast took the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Tigers so far this season. Their record drops to 4-2.
Brinkworth had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a first pitch forkball from Matt Yoast, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Buckeyes a 8-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Brinkworth.
"This place was rockin'," said Brinkworth.
