| Ducks Win at Houston, 8-5 | The Oregon Ducks defeated the Houston Cougars, 8-5, at Suns Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Oregon was right fielder Asa Carr. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Oregon, now 3-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Kevin Riffe's at-bat in the top of the ninth was significant for the Ducks. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Oregon leading 6-5, the designated hitter reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 2 runs.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Carr said.
