Rebels Win at Texas A&M, 5-3

The Texas A&M Aggies got a superb performance from designated hitter Rich Hildenbrand. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Ole Miss. The Rebels won the game, 5-3. In spite of the loss, Hildenbrand was named the player of the game. He was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Rebels hope to make a postseason run.

Morgan McAllister drew 1 walk for Ole Miss. The 21-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Brian Keith. It was his 1st walk of the season.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," McAllister said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
