| Hornets Bridle Armada, 4-3 | The Eureka Hornets picked up a win at The Nest, knocking off the Quebec Armada, 4-3. Starting pitcher Henry Baker played a key role in the triumph. Yoshiki Sato converted his 4th save in 5 tries. Eureka is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Ron Gale had a big run-scoring single for the Hornets in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Eureka leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Xavier Maya and stroked the single to right. It was his 55th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hornets ahead, 4-2.
"This is not a one-man show," said Baker. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
