Tolleson goes 4-for-5 as Titans Squeeze Past Louisiana-Layfayette

Chris Tolleson was the difference-maker for the Cal State Fullerton Titans in what turned into a shootout with the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns. Tolleson earned the player of the game award after going 4-for-5 in the 13-12 Titans win. Jesse Fluegel, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The Titans, now 3-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.

The Titans got a clutch hit from Justin Rinesmith with one out in the top of the seventh inning. Rinesmith jumped on a first pitch curveball from Nick Hurst and hit a single, staking his club to a 12-11 lead.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Totoya Sakei.
