| LaBarbera Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Virginia in Walk-Off Win | The Arkansas Razorbacks got a superb performance from pitcher Joe Beavers. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Virginia. The Cavaliers won the game, 5-4. In spite of the loss, Beavers was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Virginia, now 1-3, is off to a slow start.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Virginia catcher Sam LaBarbera, facing Logan Reid, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Cavaliers the 5-4 win.
"This game tested our mettle," said LaBarbera.
