| Tigers Win at Clemson, 3-2 | Both teams had their chances, but the Missouri Tigers eventually prevailed at Magistrates Ballpark.
The Clemson Tigers got a superb performance from pitcher Ryan Conroy. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Missouri. The Tigers won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Conroy was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball. Missouri, now 4-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Tigers sent 21-year-old pinch hitter Sam Welborn to the plate with runners on 2nd and 3rd. The youngster shook off the pressure and reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 2 runs, to put Missouri on top, 3-2.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Miguel Angel Ortíz.
