| Tigers Win at Florida, 7-5 | The Florida Gators got a superb performance from left fielder Joey Eaton. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Auburn. The Tigers won the game, 7-5. In spite of the loss, Eaton was named the player of the game. He was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. Pete DeCaprio closed the door for Auburn, picking up his 2nd save of the year. With the win, Auburn pushes its record to 2-2.
Steve MacLeod aided the Auburn cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the first. For the game, the right fielder drew 3 walks. He scored 2 runs.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," MacLeod said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
