| Bulldogs Lose, 3-1, at Hartford College Grounds | The Titans had to overcome a fine effort from Mississippi State pitcher Mike West to grab a narrow 3-1 win at Hartford College Grounds. West went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. James Shupp picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Nate Burkholder was tagged with the loss. The Titans raised their record to 2-1.
George Okafor was 1 for 3 with a walk for Cal State Fullerton. The 21-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Nate Burkholder. It was his 2nd walk of the season.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Okafor said.
