| Victory Pushes Toreros Record to 43-23 | Cabo San Lucas Toreros starter Steve Vincent pitched a strong game against the Vancouver Pioneers at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, leading the Toreros to a 5-2 win. The winning pitcher was Vincent, now 7-2. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8. The Toreros own a robust 43-23 mark.
The Toreros got a big at-bat from right fielder Bill St.john. For the game, St.john went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Cabo San Lucas a 3-2 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Vincent told reporters after the game.
