| Kings Score Late to Upend Orphans, 3-2 | Fans who came to Abbey Stadium watched the Atlantic City Kings and the Cambridge Orphans fight to the finish.
Cambridge got a terrific performance from pitcher Vito Regalado, but it wasn't enough to beat the Atlantic City Kings. Atlantic City won the Abbey Stadium contest, 3-2. Regalado was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball. Josh Denney got the save, his 3rd in 3 chances.
Kane O'Connor's at-bat in the top of the seventh inning was a big one for Atlantic City. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and Atlantic City trailing 2-1, the right fielder reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Atlantic City manager Jorge Matos.
Atlantic City leads the RCLA Dusty Baker Division by 5 games.
