| River Chiefs Walk Off with 3-2 Win | Coney Island got a terrific performance from pitcher Alex Perez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Chippewa River Chiefs. Chippewa won the The Reservation contest, 3-2. Perez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The River Chiefs bumped their record to 98-63 with this latest triumph.
Mark Cook was the walk-off hero for Chippewa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the River Chiefs first baseman hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Cook said.
