| Late Rally by Gnats Seals 4th Straight Win | The New Orleans Jedi Knights got a sterling performance from pitcher Chad McClure, but the Gnats still prevailed, 3-2. McClure was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs. Nichols reliever Jeremy Jones was the winner. His record is now 1-1. T.J. Dyer took the loss. Kyle Johnson converted his 11th save in 14 tries.
The Gnats got a big at-bat from first baseman Bryan McGregor. For the game, McGregor was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Nichols a 3-2 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said McGregor, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Gnats.
