| Victory Pushes Vikings Record to 90-67 | Despite a fine performance by left fielder Chris Pope, the Brisbane Bush Wackers suffered a 4-1 loss to the Dublin Vikings. Pope went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. Matt Hendricksen notched his 21st save in 27 chances. Dublin is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Had Nick Brown not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Brown hit a 2-run double. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Vikings.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Brown said after the game.
