Bathurst Helps Orphans Run Win Streak to 4

Cambridge played host to St. Petersburg at the friendly confines of Abbey Stadium.

A 4-RBI performance from catcher Steve Bathurst led the Cambridge Orphans to a 18-7 win over the St. Petersburg Pelicans. Cambridge reliever Rafael Padilla picked up the win, upping his record to 6-5. Mike Flores shouldered the loss.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when designated hitter Chris Ojeda drew a walk. The Orphans went on to win.

In postgame comments to the Cambridge News, Bathurst said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Cambridge.
