| Bush Wackers Lose, 9-5, at Valhalla Summit | The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a superb performance from first baseman Manuel Vargas, but the Dublin Vikings still won the game, 9-5. Vargas was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Dublin reliever Rob Madrigal picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Max Marinelli shouldered the loss. The Vikings bumped their record to 89-67 with this latest triumph.
Jim Merolli aided the Dublin cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Dublin manager Mike Bergeron.
