| Lake Monsters Walk It Off for 85th Win of Season | The Okanagan Lake Monsters defeated the Coney Island Cyclones, 4-2, in TMLA action at Elks Stadium, with Okanagan pitcher Manuel Chagolla named player of the game. Reliever Keon Ford picked up the win. His record improves to 8-2. Miguel Enciso took the loss. The Lake Monsters bumped their record to 85-70 with this latest triumph.
Okanagan won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With two outs and Miguel Enciso on the mound for Coney Island, shortstop Alex Sanchez hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Lake Monsters fans to their feet.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Sanchez. "And not try to do too much."
