Cyclones Lose, 5-3, at Elks Stadium

Okanagan starter Matt Douglas pitched effectively against the Coney Island Cyclones at Elks Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Douglas, now 4-6, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 3 earned runs. The third-place Lake Monsters improved to 84-70.

Daniel Lara helped out the Okanagan cause in the bottom of the first inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the center fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Lara told the Okanagan Times.
