Tight Tilt Goes to Princes, 4-3

The Bel Air Princes did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Tree City Black Squirrels at Philip Banks Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Dave Velasco, who captured player of the game honors. Bel Air reliever Steve Mauger was credited with the win, to go to 6-2. Mike Hollis took the loss for Tree City. Bel Air has an impressive 107-46 record.

Javy Perez, who is tied for 2nd in the RA with a .406 on-base percentage, aided the Bel Air cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.

Velasco attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
