| Road Warriors Squelch Hornets Offense in Shutout Win | Jon Duren never let Bethesda get something going. The Westside right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Road Warriors to a 3-0 win. Duren, the winner, moves to 10-8. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Bethesda's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the sixth inning, but Duren was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Bethesda trailing 2-0, Duren retired Jose Pacheco, who grounded out.
