| Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Hornets | Behind a solid performance from shortstop Jesus Rivera, the Eureka Hornets defeated the Quebec Armada, 5-1. Rivera went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Hornets. The Hornets bumped their record to 35-28 with this latest triumph.
Rivera had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 2-0 fastball from José López, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Hornets a 5-1 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Rivera.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Rivera, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
