| Vikings Come Up Short at San Angelo | Harold Lane pitched well, but his team, the Victoria Vikings, still dropped a 2-1 decision to the San Angelo Mustangs at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. San Angelo reliever Ramon Gomez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Harold Lane absorbed the loss. Casey Violet got the save, his 26th in 31 chances.
Tanner Handel aided the San Angelo cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter went 1-3.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Handel.
The Mustangs now have a record of 74-76 with the win over Victoria.
