| Tight Tilt Goes to Warriors, 4-3 | The Winfield Warriors overcame a good performance by New Orleans right fielder Chris Dowers to knock off New Orleans, 4-3, at The Barn. Dowers was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Winfield is now 59-89. New Orleans is 82-70.
Vidal Oliva helped out the Winfield cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said New Orleans skipper Pedro Gonzáles.
