| Sting Bang Out 6-5 Win Versus Bel Air | The Houston Sting defeated the Bel Air Princes, 6-5, in RCLA action at Philip Banks Field, with Houston catcher Javier Contreras named player of the game. Houston reliever Arturo Tejeda picked up the win, upping his record to 1-5. Josh Belcher absorbed the loss. Houston now has a 3-game win streak.
The Sting got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Nelson Lerma. For the game, Lerma went 1 for 1 with a home run. In the top of the ninth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Houston a 6-5 lead.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Lerma.
