| Crosscutters Get Road Win, 5-1 | The Williamsport Crosscutters defeated the Nichols Gnats, 5-1, in TMLA action at The Pond, with Williamsport pitcher Francisco Valenzuela named player of the game. Valenzuela went the distance for Williamsport. He gave up 1 earned run on 8 hits. The Gnats, at 71-79, have lost 5 in a row.
The Crosscutters got a big at-bat from right fielder Neal Kratina. For the game, Kratina went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Williamsport a 3-0 lead.
