Tree City Black Squirrels starter Jesus Ambriz was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Westside Road Warriors, 1-0. Jaime Tait earned his 18th save in 25 chances. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 80-70 with this latest triumph.

Israel Ortega drew 1 walk for Tree City. The 21-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chris Hensley. It was his 66th walk of the season.

"Both teams played hard," said Tree City manager Doug Bergeron.
