Williamsport won the The Pond contest, 2-1. Solorio was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. The winner was Williamsport reliever Ryan Hatch, now 2-5. The loser was Mario Solorio. Nichols's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The Crosscutters got a big at-bat from catcher Myoung-chul Yoo. For the game, Yoo was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Williamsport a 2-1 lead.
