| Panthers Turn Back Okanagan, 3-1 | Charleston Panthers starter Keinosuke Misawa pitched a strong game against the Okanagan Lake Monsters at Franklin Mountains Field, leading the Panthers to a 3-1 win. Misawa got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 5 innings. Misawa allowed 1 earned run. Harry Plyler got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances.
Charleston right fielder Mitchell Gilbert contributed to the cause with a single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Gilbert went 1 for 2 with a walk.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Charleston manager Guo-liang Wang. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Panthers bumped their record to 78-69 with this latest triumph.
