| Knights Come Back Late to Clip Warriors | The Kingwood Knights topped the Winfield Warriors, 6-3, in TMLA action at The Barn. The player of the game was Kingwood pitcher and Whitby, Canada native Tommy Burhoe. Kingwood reliever Omar Cruz picked up the win, upping his record to 6-0. Jose Eliserio took the loss. The first-place Knights, at 94-53, now lead their division by 7½ games.
The Knights got a big at-bat from center fielder Eric Main. For the game, Main was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Kingwood a 6-3 lead.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Burhoe.
