Cyclones Lose, 3-1, at The Republic

New Orleans played host to Coney Island at the friendly confines of The Republic.

New Orleans beat Coney Island on the strength of starter Geoff Baxter's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. T.J. Dyer was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.

The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from center fielder Kenji Endo. For the game, Endo was 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave New Orleans a 3-1 lead.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Endo said after the game.

The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 80-67 with this latest triumph.
