| River Chiefs Trip Sting in Extras | Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Bobby Balik, the Chippewa River Chiefs defeated the Houston Sting, 8-3. Balik was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the River Chiefs. Chippewa reliever Erik Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. David Hernandez absorbed the loss. The River Chiefs bumped their record to 84-60 with this latest triumph.
Luke Corbett hit a run-scoring double off Hugh Umlah in the top of the 14th, which put the River Chiefs in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Corbett had 1 single, while going 2 for 7.
