| Emeralds Walk It Off for 60th Win of Season | San Angelo pitcher Eric Watson gave the Emeralds all they could handle, but in the end, Eugene left Prefontaine Park with a 5-4 win. Watson allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits over 7 innings. Reliever Eric McNeil picked up the win. His record improves to 4-3. Casey Violet took the loss. The 5th-place Emeralds raised their record to 60-84.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Eugene center fielder Jim Overby, facing Casey Violet, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Emeralds the 5-4 win.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Emeralds manager Ricardo Martínez. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
