Crosscutters Prevail, 8-6, Over Tree City

Williamsport and Tree City duked it out at The Nut House and the Crosscutters came out victorious.

Crosscutters designated hitter John Kershner put his stamp on his team's 8-6 win over the Tree City Black Squirrels. Kershner went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Williamsport in the contest. Dave Castro earned the win for Williamsport. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 10-12. Hidero Ueno earned save number 23.

Sergio Mejia aided the Williamsport cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the first. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk.
