River Chiefs Jolt Sting with Late Rally

Chippewa pitcher Junior Castillo did his part in helping his team beat the Houston Sting, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The River Chiefs bumped their record to 83-60 with this latest triumph.

The River Chiefs got a big at-bat from left fielder Eddie Linares. For the game, Linares was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 82nd hit of the season gave Chippewa a 2-1 lead.
